3. What format should I use in submitting my book? You may submit your manuscript in a number of ways. We recommend, however, that you submit your books on disk because this gives authors more control over the appearance as well as the content of your manuscript. We urge you to submit your manuscript on a disk in any of the following standard formats:
- Microsoft Word for Windows
- WordPerfect for Windows
4. What are your Submission Guidelines?
Following guidelines will help us to more effectively prepare your book for distribution:
- · Submit your book as one file, which should include the title page, table of contents (when applicable), all of the chapters, and index (when applicable)
- (Note: Generally, 500 to 700 pages will fit on a single disk.)
- You may, however, submit your "Bio", "Jacket Cover Information", and "Free Preview" segments as separate files.(Note: Please remember that the purpose of these sections is to encourage readers to buy your book!)
- We will present your readers with a 1- or 2- page Free Preview section. You must specify what pages you want to use in the Free Preview. If you wish, you may submit these pages as a separate file. (We strongly urge you to submit your manuscript, Bio, Jacket Cover Information, and Free Preview on a single disk whenever possible!)
5. If I should submit my book as manuscript, what are the submission guidelines?Whereas the guidelines are the same as those for manuscripts submitted on disks, these additional points apply to manuscripts as a paper manuscript:
- A scanning fee of $2.00 per page will be charged. It is imperative important that the author proofread carefully after a manuscript has been scanned because the best scans may include spelling errors. E.F.S. Online Publishing absolutely does not edit manuscripts; the author submits whatever he/she wants the public to read.
- The manuscript submitted for scanning must be complete.
- The scanning of a manuscript may result in a slightly longer time frame to actually prepare a hard-copy version of the manuscript ready online for publication. Scanning errors that occur are corrected without charge, but changes not relevant to scanning are charged at a rate of $25.00 per hour.
- Use the Submission Form or a separate sheet to submit your Bio.
Be sure to include the 1 or 2 pages you want to be used in the Free Preview section.
6. How does E.F.S. Online Publishing determine the price for each book?

Generally, we price books between 50% and 75% of the cost of soft cover books found in conventional bookstores.
